Irene Byrne Ohl

Founder | Chief Executive

Founded with the goal of being the bridge between technical theatre university program graduates and the expanding employee needs of the entertainment industry, Irene’s master search skills result in successfully recruiting emerging professionals, then fitting talent with team. Her focus is to make the hiring process productive and intuitive, so employers can keep working at what makes them profitable.

Irene built her entertainment industry and technical theatre university network over more than three decades recruiting solely for her previous firms: Pook Diemont & Ohl, acouStaCorp, and more recently for Texas Scenic Company. She has the style flexibility and broad range of experiences to build a team from scratch or add a new member to an established culture with retention as the focus to buoy the investment of both candidate and employer.

The goal of piVot2 is to establish a long-term relationship as the trusted industry recruiter who is committed to growing the next generation of our expanding industry – someone you can count on to always partner with you with direct, insightful and personalized communication.

Looking back, Irene’s first true recruiting presentations occurred when she was a CCM|UC undergraduate; her high school drama teacher regularly invited her to speak to high school theatre classes about the opportunities available as a technical theatre graduate. Mentorship by NYC executive recruiting firm Gould & McCoy (now known as Chaddick & Ellig) in 1986-88 honed her resume vetting skills. Irene cares deeply for every client and candidate. She hopes to share her passion of growing our industry through mentorship; results grounded in honesty, hard work and listening to create an optimal new hire experience.
